Seeing Some Movement

If you noticed, I added near the top right corner of our page our number on the 'unofficial' waiting list. We started as # 45, and in the last two days moved from # 44 to # 38! I am excited to see some movement!

5/1/10 - Apply to AWAA
5/17/10 - Received official acceptance
9/15/10 - Mailed docs to start Home Study process
10/19/10 - Finish Home Study meetings
10/28/10 - Send Social Worker revised Home Study Report
11/19/10 - Mailed two docs to Secretary of State to be certified
11/28/10 - Receive certified docs back from Secretary of State
11/30/10 - Mail docs to TX to get background check done
12/8/10 - Receive background check from TX
12/30/10 - Receive final Home Study report
1/3/11 - Mailed I-600A form to USCIS
1/10/11 - USCIS confirmed receipt of I-600A
1/18/11 - Received fingerprint appt date - scheduled for 2/11
2/11/11 - Went to Biometric Appt (fingerprinting)
2/18/11 - Received I-171H approval letter
2/19/11 - Mailed dossier to AWAA
3/4/11 - Our Dossier was approved and we are now on the official waiting list! Woohoo!!
3/10/11 - Our Dossier arrived to Ethiopia!

Steps left:
· Currently On Hold and updating paperwork before we get a referral
· Receive referral!
· Accept referral!
· Wait for court date
· Receive court date and travel to Ethiopia for approx 7 days and meet our child
· Pass court there or back in the US
· Wait for visa appt
· Receive visa appt. and travel back to Ethiopia for visa appt. and bring home our child!!!
